Project application 2025

This test facility lays the foundation for all further projects.

In order to test as efficiently as possible, there are certain conditions for the site and the people responsible on site.

Conversely, you get the fresh water and more.

What we need:

Sunny, dry area (0.25-1 hectare) for the installation of the freshwater production plant.

We want to keep expanding the test facility, so land reserves would be an advantage.

The test facility must be located in Europe and on the Mediterranean.
Optimal: 0-200 metres from the sea, depending on the conditions also up to 1000 metres.

Preferably, the seawater is transported to the plant via pipes. This route in between should be free of obstacles: no major roads or buildings.

If available, salty groundwater will also work.

We are counting on people who take this project to heart.

Whether farmers, communities, municipalities or cities. If you need the water, then the goal has been achieved.

Before we start, we will work out the financing together.

Hand on Water is dependent on donations. The more donations we receive, the larger and more efficient the plant will be.

The more support we receive locally, the more successful the freshwater production will be.

The system is equipped with sensors to collect and transmit ‘live’ measurement data.

An internet connection is therefore desirable. Data transmission also works over a weak network.

What we offer:

First and foremost, we produce water for irrigating fields.

Secondly, we produce drinking water. We will tackle this issue as soon as the production of fresh water for irrigation is guaranteed.

All water belongs to you and is at your free disposal.

The test system is constantly being developed further. All innovations are implemented on the test facility. As a landowner, you benefit directly from these improvements.

These are:
– Increased efficiency of freshwater production
– Optimised irrigation
– Visits by experts (water, plants, soil)

This test facility will be the showcase for other projects.

We are marketing it online and it is accessible to selected visitors on site.

The test facility is designed for the future and will remain in place for at least the next 10 years.

Depending on how the photovoltaic cells are installed, habitats and new opportunities for plants and animals are created beneath them.

The system must be looked after and maintained.

This requires personnel. Labour is generated.

The salt is collected. It is not channelled back into the sea, as is usual with other seawater desalination plants.

The higher salt content is harmful or lethal to marine life.

The salt can be processed and sold.
